How to Take Care of my Carpet

Taking care of our rugs is no easy task, but with the right procedure, but with the right steps and procedure it can be breeze and save valuable TIME! More time for our family and more time for our work.
Generally speaking, a Coker carpet is durable and is easy to maintain. You need just to plug in the vacuum or grab a broom stick to remove dirt and dust. But if you have kids with you, most probably it will be stained, soaked and mud will be over it and your precious Coker floor rug would be a disaster and getting professional services is really not within the family budget.

And.. You don’t need it at all. There are several simple yet effective ways to clean it.

The Trick

Commercial products are expensive and most of them would need a de-foaming solution because of the mind blowing foams they create. Try to look into your home and you will find a solution.

Vinegar Mixture – Vinegar diluted in water is an effective cleaner for stains and mud, the chemical components of vinegar breaks down solidified stains and you can just wipe it away. You might be concerned about the smell right? Yes, it does stay but it will eventually wear off as the vinegar dry.

Ammonia – For heavy stained parts of the rug you can pour the ammonia directly and dilute some more for the rest of the rug. Just like vinegar the smell will eventually wear off. However, be very careful with the solution and keep it out of your children. If you have pets, you might want to take them until the smell is gone.

Plain Old Water – for newly marked stains hot water will do the trick, boil a kettle of water and mix it with the same amount of tap water you even out the temperature. Too much heat can damage some carpet types.

Detergents – Simple laundry soaps could be of big help, Not only they are good in removing certain stains and they leave a pleasant odor too.

To relive your rugs from odor, make sure you dry them and avoid excess soaking. When cleaning open the windows or let it dry with a fan or a blow dry.

Here’s another tip, whenever possible remove stains in an instant and don’t let it penetrate the rug. This will save you money and time for future cleaning.
