We just can help it especially if you have kid and pets around. You just might find you yourself looking in a disaster.
But all of this can be prevented with the proper caring and maintenance of you flooring.
Clean regularly – Of course, you want to maintain the natural shine of your hardwood flooring. Cleaning can be as easy task, all you need is either sweep it or plug in conventional cleaning machines and you can apply waxes that keeps the flooring shiny and also somehow keeping them water proof.
Pad your furniture – The most important step to prevent scratches is to pad those regularly moved furniture like chairs and small tables. You can either custom pad it from an upholstery shop or do it your own. You just need a rubber sole that will fit you chair’s feet and that’ll do it.
Train your pets – although not all time, dogs or cats’ urine are acidic and over time it can damage the floor’s coating leaving them exposed to moisture. It is better to train your pets not to pee inside the house and do it in the backyard.
Annual buffing – Though not entirely necessary, you can buff your coker floors once a year to maintain their beauty and to prolong their life span.
Wipe immediately – Some hardwood have protective coating in them but either way, water can sip though the small gaps between the boards and start damaging it from the inside. So prevent soaking in any form of liquid.
Prevent termites – Most of us don’t really know where do they come from and how did they get in your house destroying everything. It is better to ask for professional services for assistance when they are present already and have an annual treatment to prevent.
Involve your kids – Cleaning can be a fun activity for the family, not only that your children are being responsible they will also learn how to value everything in your home.
